Extractly’s Sugar Cookie

1 C butter (softened)

1 Egg

1 Teaspoon Baking Soda

1/2 Teaspoon Baking Powder

1 1/2 Teaspoon Extractly Vanilla Extract

1 C Sugar

1/2 C Extractly Vanilla Bean Sugar

2 3/4 C Flour

Extractly Coarse Vanilla Sugar (to sprinkle on top)

  • Preheat oven to 350*

  • Combine butter with the sugars and beat on medium speed until creamed.

  • Add the egg and vanilla extract to the creamed mixture.

  • In a separate bowl combine flour, baking soda and baking powder.

  • Slowly add dry ingredients into the creamed mixture.

  • Roll the dough into desired balls onto a Silpat lined cookie sheet (or substitute parchment paper).

  • Press cookie balls into coarse vanilla sugar until flattened.

  • Bake for 8-10 min then remove from oven & sprinkle additional coarse vanilla sugar as desired.

  • Allow cookies to cool approx. 2-3 min.

  • Transfer to a cooling rack.
